alone yet standing tall
you see my battered flag fly
against it all
alone and terrified
I’m calling out for hope
with one last battle cry
always flown too close to conflict
never knew how how it’d burn
to make the skin of a warrior
when you watch me
from afar
from afar
Crimson it dwells in me
Bleeding silently through hallowed war
Frail prophecies
Lost divinity
Don’t look back this time
Warrior
Forget this shallow reverie
Forever gone
Gently
Oh gently
It all returns
Heavy
it’s all so heavy
Help me unearth
I bow my crown less head
War after war
Crimson war
From afar
Born of what you wanted
Never bound to the tide
Crimson
It dwells in me
Bleeding silently
Unless you’re bulletproof
Nowhere’s sanctuary
No one fights for you
Now it’s begun
Forever numb
Don’t look back this time
Hush
All the words expire
No bones to build
Your head is heavy
But flesh
When it cries like fire
Yeah we listen
Our head is heavy
I want to go back
We tread
We rise
Unearth
Can’t keep us (down)
Reset to survive
It’s lonely on the other side
What if those precious hours
Need sleep to call their own
We’ve wandered much too far
From home
I want to go back
We tread
We rise
Unearth
Can’t keep us (down)
When all your wanted was to survive
It’s lonely on the other side
deep down
you go
follow whispers
and oh you wonder
our weapon’s greater in the darkest shade
the drapes are drawn
when the ghosts are gone
I hope that you can fall for something
will you stop at nothing?
I can’t take this away
when all you wanted was to be haunted
you’ve destroyed all you know
now you’re holding it tighter
trying, and fighting to let it go
your fall is mine
let me catch my breath
my mind, it’s race
it runs a thousand miles at once
and pulls me under
forgive me my apathy
but given all I have seen-
I hail from wars
behind that crown
then they lifted you up
now you’re higher than us
too afraid to come down, down, down
so he pled:
headstrong
foolish like a king
so glorified
oh
you dare reconcile
with blood still on your hands?
don’t call it justified
no, your fall is mine
your fall is mine

Before the Word, was the Myth.
As the inevitable heat death of the cosmos looms ever nearer in spacetime, life, in all of its myriad manifestations, faces a choice between a relative eternity spent watching our universe die around us, on the one hand, and the bitter, animal struggle against the eventuality of our own deaths, on the other.
The Word is passed down to us through a kaleidoscope of synoptic voices. Each Apocrypha reveals a new emotional subtlety, a depth of sonic experimentation, and a grandness of scale to the known world—the Myth—the Zeroth Canon.
